The Pennsylvania County Fair Racing circuit, in conjunction with the
Meadows Standardbred Owners Association, is pleased to announce that two events
this summer will be named in honor of a pair of longtime fair circuit horsemen
who passed away this past winner.
On Friday, July 1, the Pennsylvania Sire Stake 3YO Colt Trot at the Big Butler
Fair (Butler County) will be named in honor of Terry Schoeffel, former
President of the Pennsylvania Fair Harness Horsemen's Association.
Schoeffel passed away in December, 2010.
On Thursday, August 18, the PASS 2YO Colt Trot at the Dayton Fair (Dayton, PA)
will be the Ken Weaver Memorial Trot, in honor of the longtime Dayton-based
horsemen. Weaver also passed away in December, 2010.
